This is coming a few months after some forces in Washington failed to get rid of her as chief of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) with headquartered in the United State. When all means to remove her failed, multiple reports cite, the story to remove her did not make sense like many here in Washington.
The investigation found that it was all nonsensical, though she never relaxed, she fought like hell! They said years earlier when she was the head of the World Bank, she 'influenced' workers there into presenting a rosy picture of the Chinese economy as she was heavily criticized by that
Knowing that the United States is not a very great friend of China and knowing that many were still angry here over COVID-19 that traveled from China to the rest of the world and killed millions of people in the United States alone
So the forces trying to remove her found the perfect enemy to associate her with! they used that against her, while she fight back to keep her job. She is the first IMF Managing Director from Eastern Europe where many people have also known poverty like in most parts of the world as the world battle with mass poverty, inflation, and post COVID effect
At the IMF, she does not behave like those who were there before her in her interactions with workers. She does not have the 'perfect' English accent, but she does not need it and she is very qualified and very good at what she does, and she's fought for Africa during the pick of COVID and still fighting thereafter.
She was part of the massive loans given to African nations, though, those loans may not be well used in the continent of Africa full of corrupt leaders, but, it's not always the fault of the lender of IMF if you steal the money meant for roads and your people do nothing to remove you from power and throw you into a cell as the case has always been across Africa nations
Anyway, she fought hard, and now, in 10 days, she will be hosting the biggest gathering of central bank governors, finance ministers, innovators, thinkers, activists, and many others that will come all over part of the world to assemble here in Washington D.C during the first in-person IMF/World Bank Annual Meetings since 2019, the year before COVID-19 struck and shut down the world. To this, we are saying a big congrats to IMF Chief Kristaina for fighting the good fight
