Nigeria Students Begin Protest Against ASUU Strike, Storm Benin Airport Road
JUST IN: few hours after ASUU extended its strike to another 12 weeks, Nigeria students have begin protest, storming Benin Airport road in Edo state West Africa Nigeria, as seen on the below footage
The protesting students has also send warning message to ASUU and Nigeria Government to call of the strikes as they call on all Nigeria students to start massive protests across the country, targeting road block and storming state and federal government houses to know why ASUU and Federal government choose to keep the off from the class room for such a very long time
Its a developing protest and may continue tomorrow, Yes World Forum Live reporters were live on the scene, witness hundreds of students from public high institutions in Nigeria stormed Benin Airport in Edo state, calling on both bodies, the ASUU and the Federal government to call off the ongoing strike and enable them to return to classrooms
This happen today being Monday, May 9th, 2022 at the Benin Airport road, as the protest is expected to continue tomorrow said the protesting students, their also call on other students in different states across the nation to join the protest in their various states
It was reported that vehicles moving around the Benin Airport road were temporarily stopped for some hours, the situation also force some commuters to remain at the airport, there was slight holdup, resulting in long queues of vehicles on the Benin airport road, Edo state Nigeria
The developing problem has been between ASUU and the Federal Government of Nigeria, where ASUU has gone on warning strike for months now and has also extended the strike to another 3 months
