The embattled Deputy Commissioner of police, Abba Kyari who is currently undergoing investigation by NDLEA over drug related charges has claimed that IPOB (Indigenous People Of Biafra) and ESN (Eastern Security Network) are responsible for his predicaments.
The deputy commissioner called 'super cop' for his exploits in the force said in a report, that the drug charges is an attempt by IPOB and ESN to smear his reputation,
“It is a campaign to smear his reputation by members of IPOB/ESN who vowed to destroy him, due to onslaught against them in the South East," the report says.
Abba Kyari who has an impending extradition request to the US over fraud connections with Hushpuppi an international fraudster, appearing before a panel led by Joseph Egbunike, a Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG) at the Force Headquarters, claimed that he is under character attack by the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB).
However, the panel not satisfied with his assertion has demoted him to the position of
Deputy Commissioner of Police to Assistant Commissioner of Police because according to the them, his report is 'watery'.
