Here Is The Thread, Discussing The IMF AND World Bank Annual Meeting 2022, The First In-Person Meeting Since COVID-19 pandemic

As In-person meeting resume across the United States, things are beginning to take shape, live events, and other professional activities are all taking shape once more and it will interest you to know that the 2022 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and The World Bank Group began on Monday, 10 October and to end on Sunday, 16 October

World experts, policymakers, activities, economists, and journalists have all arrived in Washington for the IMF AND World Bank Annual Meeting 2022, This being the first in-person meeting since the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak

This is coming after a three-year hiatus caused by COVID-19, both the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank have before now during the pick of COVID suspend all in-person meetings across the United States and everywhere else around the world

But today marks a new begging for the IMF/World Bank Annual Meetings return, which is now underway in Washington, District of Columbia. These experts have come together to suggest solutions to global economic challenges facing us, as well as how the Russia-Ukraine war is threatening the global peace we all have enjoyed for years after the end of world war II

These professionals coming together are here in Washington DC to discuss ways to support African economies dealing with low productivity, increasing poverty, and ballooning debts.

The event is slated to last for one week and is expected that financial and economic experts from around the world will discuss the impact of COVID-19 on the global economy. Also, the impact of Russia’s war on Ukraine has exacerbated a global food crisis, and debt vulnerabilities affecting mainly developing nations

Then discussing the climate crisis threatening the planet and pushing more people into poverty, diseases, and the need to support African countries battling with a multitude of crises, including severe drought, poverty, and growing instability.

You see, in every other part of the world, it was reported that third worlds countries (Developing countries) are more hit with all these global crises like the world has never experienced

This has brought about some African experts, activists, policymakers, finance ministers, central bank governors, and journalists who are also here for the IMF AND World Bank Annual Meeting 2022

Just as always, most African journalists present here are from Nigeria, Africa’s most populous nation, while the other countries in Africa are also present. At the White House, across the United States, and all over the world all eyes are on the general election next month and the escalation of hostilities in Ukraine.

The impact of COVID-19 and also the event coming up in December, when President Biden will host close to 50 African leaders here in the American capital and preparations are already taking place.

That too is a top priority, but for now, the focus is on IMF AND World Bank Annual Meeting 2022, being the first in-person meeting since COVID 19.
