Sadly the assassination of the former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in Japan is the first gun murder across the country this year, just a few days before the election -- Abe before his death is the country's longest-serving prime minister in history

But dead tragically, It's so tragic losing such a great person, but it's hard to over-emphasize how unusual it is. Japan has 192,000 firearms in private hands, but access is tightly regulated and they must be kept in gun safes.

The upshot is that in all of last year, only one person was murdered with a gun in Japan as the rate of crime was lowered, only one person was murdered with a gun throughout Japan

So it's true that even tight restrictions are imperfect, then came today's incident in how Shinzo Abe was murdered with a homemade firearm, which may now have a negative impact on the country's election

Shinzo Abe himself leaves far more of a legacy than most Japanese prime ministers ever before him. He had a real vision for the country which he did his best to put into practice and aspired to be transformational by boosting the economy of the country, empowering women, bolstering nationalism, solidifying ties with the US, and especially elevating Japan's military posture to secure its longterm defense.

He wasn't transformational, but he did accomplish something in all these areas. he was right to modernize Japan's security posture, and many people admired his sense of vision.

He is said to be much more thoughtful and substantive than most other Japanese politicians, who often shy away from making news. was also quite deft in managing relations with the former President of the United States, President Trump. Overall, he was good for Japan and good for the world, and he leaves an important legacy.

It's a sad end for, Shinzo Abe, and we all at World forum live are saddened, it's sad news to the global world and heartbreaking as our prayer and condolences to his family, friends, and the Japanese at large.
