SADLY: Ethiopian and Eritrean governments are accused of enforcing a humanitarian blockade in the Tigray region Since March 2017 even before the full-blown war started

Multiple reports have it that, the Ethiopian and Eritrean governments have been enforcing a humanitarian blockade on the Tigray region. The blockade has caused food shortages and increased poverty in the region and also has increased the number of refugees fleeing to neighboring countries.

The UN has called for both governments to end the blockade, but so far they have not done so. Ethiopia and Eritrea are currently embroiled in a bitter dispute over who is responsible for enforcing a humanitarian blockade into the Tigray region.
